I started at Q2 with no real experience in software development. Since this time I have grown to the point that I am trusted to be the technical lead over a team of 10 UX and back end developers (not counting myself) on the largest custom project our company has undertaken to date. In this role I am the unofficial solution architect who makes the final call as to where (which component) and how technical requirements are to be fulfilled for this project. In addition I am the technical lead for another small but soon to be growing (I hope) team which has ownership of 24 applications on which our core product relies that were developed within a proprietary python framework.The development work I have done has primarily been in Python, SQL server, javascript, and other front end syntax/markup languages common for web development. The tasks ranged from small single purpose data gathering web forms to mission critical API's which powers all the online transactions for a 80 billion dollar bank here in the US. Most tasks involved interacting with internal and external 3rd party API's. In these interaction's I became proficient with SOAP and REST standards as well as a few proprietary protocols. I also had to be forward facing to clients and other third parties often. I have no problem with this and actually quite enjoy it at times.

Installation Crew Leader

I founded and ran this company for many years. This time was perhaps the most formative and educational of any other time in my life. I learned many things from a fearless trial and error process.While I worked in every position within the company at some point in time, my greatest achievement was assembling and leading a team of as many as 8 employees. Together with this team we built the company from scratch to a high of nearly 800k in revenue within about 4 years. Throughout it's existence our company enjoyed and maintained a professional image that was unmatched by other similar companies in our market. Many times during the provision of our services, we would hear complimentary comments from our customers regarding our professional image and our ability to follow it up with professional service.Unfortunately, a combination of declining sales (a rather severe decline in our particular industry of Homebuilding)and "uncollectable recievables" led me to officially close the doors to the company in June of 2011.
