We are Team AgroFusion, proud to have been among the top 50 teams selected for the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024, hosted at the American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), Dhaka. From October 4 to October 5, we engaged in a thrilling 36-hour hackathon, competing as high school students against university teams. As the team leader, I was incredibly proud of my team’s dedication and skills!Our project, AgroFusion, is an innovative fusion of software and hardware designed to serve as an all-in-one agricultural solution. It empowers farmers with real-time field data, expert farming guidance through advanced detection systems, NASA datasets, and predictive insights. AgroFusion also provides crucial alerts and AI-driven support, helping farmers manage water, prevent disasters, protect crops, and optimize yields. The mission is clear: to transform agriculture by minimizing crop losses, boosting productivity, and securing livelihoods, thereby addressing agricultural economic challenges and global food insecurity.The software development was spearheaded by Yeasar Arefin and myself (S M ABTAHI NOOR), using cutting-edge technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, Python, MongoDB, Firebase, Gemini API, YoloV5, NASA datasets, and external APIs. Farhan and Ragib managed the hardware aspects, while Sumaiya contributed her skills in design and voiceover. Special thanks to Abdul Munemul Talha for completing the video production in record time! I had the opportunity to work on "Powermall," an e-commerce platform, alongside @Yeasar Arefin and SM Abtahi Noor. This project was entrusted to me by Drop Dev, where we navigated and solved various challenges, gaining valuable experience along the way. Developed using the MERN stack, Powermall is now a thriving e-commerce platform in Bangladesh.
