As the leader of MCOPP and acting "Director of Community Engagement," I coordinate and facilitate the actions of the Leadership Team and community engagement initiatives in fulfilling the annual coalition and grant goals to be accomplished. Provided nutrition leadership and technical assistance to a variety of agencies (i.e CBOs, schools, coalitions, colleges/universities, faithbased groups, health agencies) on nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention. Was a member of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health (2006-2011) and was an appointee to the Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 Strategic Leadership Team charged with developing Wisconsin's State Health Plan (2008-2010). She also provided nutrition leadership by sitting on the Executive Board of the Milwaukee County Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition, as Co-Chair and Post-Chair (2004-2011). Her work to promote healthy environments in the family, community, schools, and faith-based settings was recognized through abstract acceptance and poster presentation at the International Congress of Dietetics (ICD) held in Yokohama, Japan (Fall, 2008).

Provided leadership to the ADA House of Delegates, a group of approximately 125 represenatives from every state, overseas dietitans, and other designated ADA subgroups. This group is tasked with governing the Profession of Dietetics. The ADA HOD Director sits on the ADA Board of Directors who is responsible for governoring the Association which includes strategic direction and fiscal responsibilites.

Conducted nutritional assessments pre and post surgery and developed nutritional care plans to aid in recovery and nutrition education. Conducted bi-weekly Low Cholesterol and the Healthy Heart Diet classes. Responsible for the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit, the 4KLM Intermediate Cardiac Surgery Unit, and Day Surgery. Was also a member of the Heart Transplant Team.
