Currently a First Year Computer Science and Data Science Student at the University of Sydney.Throughout my 5 months internship at Chumbaka, I had the opportunity to work with the R&D team mapping Chumbaka's course content with the ISTE seal and Cambridge Computing standards for accreditation. Besides, I am fortunate to be assigned to conduct data management which includes data cleaning and publication for Chumbaka's 2 major nationwide digital making competition, Yayasan Sime Darby Young Innovators Challenge (SDYIC) and Junior Innovate (JI) across Malaysia, accumulating to a total of 4,000 students and teachers registrants. I am also grateful with the opportunity to contribute to 2 workshop content design, Data Analytics with Google Data Studios and Generative AI for high school students. Throughout the internship, I am also blessed with the opportunity to assist in running the 2 major digital making competition bootcamp and finals. As a high school student back then, I was introduced to digital making through the Brilliant Young Minds programme, organised by Petronas ICT and Arus Academy, where I was exposed to Arduino IDE, MIT App programming, 3D printing and laser cutting, and other soft skills like effective pitching, teamwork and leadership. During 2018, I was fortunate to win Digital Ninja, an annual digital making bootcamp organised by Malaysia Digital Economic Cooperation (MDEC), where I had the opportunity to share my team's prototype, a smart composting bin with IoT smart app control system to encourage composting within limited urban indoor spaces on Astro Awani. The event definitely made me improve my communication skills, including live interview as well being a better team player. In 2019, through the efforts of me and my friends, we managed to win Mah Sing Young Nation Builders Challenge, where we won grants worth RM6000 to contribute to the school, where we managed to start a digital making club in our school as a way of giving back to the community. In 2020, through the Project ID Young Educators Challenge, I learnt the process of immersing into a teacher's role, in an online learning environment which is very challenging. In 2021, I was blessed to emerge as one of the grant winners of Yayasan Sime Darby Young Innovators Challenge along with my sister, where we received grants to further develop our smart UV light door disinfector into a working project and implement it in a school. During my college years, I led a team to raised funds to help 4 stateless children take up the college ICDL course, to promote soft skills education.
