I am participating in the University of Michigan Alumni Association's Preferred Career Coach Program. This means that I am a vetted career coach who provides a discount for all U-M alumni seeking help to find their green career niche or to secure their next green dream job!

Called back for a 6-month (part-time) role to assist career team. I advised MS students in the Environmental Justice specialization, PhD students and 600 Program in the Environment (undergraduate) students, collaborated with student leaders, and developed and delivered five career workshops in the first six weeks of the Fall Semester.

• Called on to assist with career advising for Architecture, Urban Planning, and Urban Design students to fill in for a staff member on leave.• Worked on special projects--including major event organizing (Taubman’s largest Career Fair), created an on-boarding manual for new career staff, and laid the foundation for an employer database for the school.

I regularly contributed articles on social impact careers to IdealistCareers.Org. I also helped job seekers gain strategies for success in finding and securing careers that will make a difference in the world.

I regularly contributed to The Campus Career Coach, an online platform where I answered career and job search questions from students.

• Managed career services for 400+ graduate students, regularly achieving an 85% full-time placement or continuing education rate within 6 months of graduation and a 93% rate within 9 months of graduation.• Built environmental career office from ground up: developed a full suite of professional career counseling services, researched and implemented a career software for students, alums, and employers, and developed a 5500+ environmental employer database)• Assisted students on career direction, job and internship searches• Assisted thousands of students and alumni over 10 years in creating effective resumes and customizing resumes to specific jobs resulting in clients receiving more interview requests• Conducted mock interviews and provided salary negotiation resulting in clients receiving more job offers and increased salaries• Coordinated the development of 50+ multidisciplinary master’s project team research ideas annually with client organizations, students, and faculty• Used strong people skills to resuscitate relationship with major funder which ultimately led to an invitation to submit a successful grant proposal for $80K to fund master's project research for student teams• Developed concept for and coordinated university-wide UM Green Career Fair attracting 45+ employers and 600 students annually (continues today)• Planned and implemented career events including: City Career Treks (DC/ Chicago/ Ann Arbor), job shadowing program, career panels, employer info sessions, workshops, etc. often in partnership with other U-M departments, alumni, faculty, and students• Managed all aspects of SNRE's Internship Program (developed internship partnerships with companies, administered internship funding programs, and identified and promoted environmental internships)• Launched innovative "Top 25 SNRE Employer" initiative leading to increased partnerships and recruiting by these employers of our students • Additional Training: Federal Advisor Training (2010)

• Managed all aspects of NWF’s Great Lakes Wolf Project (staff, budget, program)• Co-supervised a two-year master’s research project on Great Lakes wolf recovery with a team of University of Michigan School of Natural Resources master's students• Developed partnerships with state and federal agencies, conservation organizations and sporting groups on wolf conservation initiatives• Conducted fundraising efforts including foundation and individual donor research and cultivation• Created wolf education materials (targeting user groups affected by wolves--hunters, farmers, etc.) in partnership with a nationally renowned wolf biologist which were distributed by state agencies and NGOs in MI, WI, and MN• Served on Wisconsin Wolf Stakeholders committee to advise the Wisconsin DNR on wolf management issues which resulted in consensus building on controversial issues

• Represented NWF as national liaison with state affiliate organizations in IL, IA, MN, WI to partner on state, regional, national, and international conservation issues.• Strengthened NWF's four state affiliate groups by helping them secure the appropriate resources to address specific needs.• Mentored diverse leaders of student conservation groups at colleges in over 12 states to attain leadership positions on the boards of statewide conservation organizations.• Co-organized several major leadership trainings directly resulting in participants advancing into executive leadership positions.• Co-organized a “Midwest Hunter and Angler Clean Water Act Summit,” a major conference which rallied hunters and anglers from 12 states and resulted in NWF being credited with making a significant contribution in protecting this legislation from efforts to weaken it.• Secured a new Illinois affiliate organization, Prairie Rivers Network, as NWF’s Illinois affiliate

• Educated and activated diverse groups (including students, hunting, environmental, NWF members, tribes, local governments and others) in MI, WI, MN and Ontario to protect Lake Superior from pollution and habitat destruction.• Assisted with the planning of a major workshop to engage students, faculty, and staff from colleges around Lake Superior in protection efforts resulting in the formation of the Lake Superior Campus Chlorine-free Paper Purchasing Cooperative.• Assisted in the development of a student conservation leadership initiative to recruit and mentor college students in the natural resources field.• Assisted with the development of grant proposals and reports.• Testified at state and local hearings, conducted presentations to local governments, conservation workshops, and press conferences.• Served as a representative on state and as an alternate on binational advisory groups to the U.S. and Canadian governments to advance Lake Superior conservation goals.

• Organized diverse constituency groups in 12 state region (midwest and northeast) to support state and federal legislation to protect endangered species • Created innovative “Friends of Endangered Species” e-newsletter which resulted in significant conservation activities by subscribers, generated NWF memberships, and served as a national model for other NWF e-mail newsletters • Designed and conducted endangered species education and grassroots organizing skills training workshops in the above-mentioned twelve states and organized lobby events in Washington, D.C. • Designed and developed endangered species materials • Provided guidance on National Wildlife Federation grassroots, media, and legislative strategies
