During a progressive career as a Physician spanning more than ten years, I have successfully completed a number of medical rotations in a wide range of multidisciplinary clinical environments. My main areas of interest are rheumatology and general / internal medicine, although considerable exposure has also been gained in rehabilitation, geriatric medicine, oncology, neurology and emergency medicine. Passionately committed to providing high quality patient care, I demonstrate expert knowledge of current standards of evidence-based practice and patient-focused medicine and a proven commitment to research and lifelong learning. I also apply the principles of informed consent in my clinical practice, critically appraising the best available evidence to enable clinical decision-making. I am a proponent of patient education and utilised excellent communication skills to provide clear and honest information to my patients and their families whilst respecting their treatment choices. With strong cultural awareness, I am sensitive to the different needs and lifestyle choices of my patients and am always non-judgemental in my approach. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in the provision of medical supervision, education, teaching and support to students and interns, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to perform treatments and procedures with confidence.
