Yeesum Lo is the Head of Development at Paramount Australia and New Zealand. Appointed in 2020, Yeesum is responsible for identifying and progressing content commissions across Network 10, Paramount+, MTV and Nickelodeon. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Yeesum’s career has spanned New York, Los Angeles and Sydney. As a content executive, Yeesum spent close to a decade at Endemol Shine Group (Banijay) in the US and Australia, with a number of roles spanning Office of the CEO, M&A, C-level project management and strategy, and was recognised as a B&T 30 under 30 winner. In her role as Director of Digital for Australia, Yeesum had a remit across digital content and commercial strategy for programs including MasterChef, Survivor and Married At First Sight. She was responsible for restructuring the business unit to achieve sustainable profitability during her tenure and creating industry-leading digital risk, reputation, crisis and duty of care management protocols.Yeesum commenced her appointment as Non-Executive Director of the Sydney Festival in 2024 and also serves as Co-Chair for Paramount’s Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group. She is a committed advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in media and the arts at large, and is a Dr. John Yu Fellow through the University of Sydney’s Business School. Yeesum also holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California, and is a graduate with order of merit from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Outside of work, she is currently pursuing her WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wine.
