Interned under the Reliability and Metrology departments. While working with the Reliability department, I assisted with stress testing procedures on Microchip products. While working with the Metrology department, I assisted with NIST traceable calibration/adjustment procedures with on site equipment.

I represent Oculus VR, a virtual reality technology company, with their products. Ensure customer satisfaction and safety while overseeing them during a virtual reality demonstration. I answer any questions pertaining to the technology or Oculus VR, the company.In my time here, I have been ranked top 8 out of 300+ brand ambassadors in our program. I took part in a competitive training program, called the "Oculus Achievers Program", to learn more about the product as well as have an opportunity to visit Facebook HQ in Palo Alto, CA.My experience with Premium Retail has taught me technical communications skills, experience in retail environments, as well as product demonstration abilities.

My time with Current by GE has given me many experiences within the manufacturing industry, especially from the perspective of a supply-side engineer. My projects included applying Sigma-Six LEAN applications, such as creating a visual management board. Other skills I learned include applications of SAP; computer-aided design with SolidWorks; as well as alternative packaging design for one of our products.My major internship project is applying LEAN Sigma-Six applications on our testing stations within the manufacturing floor. These testing stations are not universal throughout the plant. I was tasked with creating a universal standard for the stations to improve safety and increase efficiency.

Job duties as a Student Service Representative include the handling of sensitive information, usage of in-house programs, as well as assisting in the replacement social security cards. Social security cards are distributed in the case of loss or destruction, name change, aliens becoming new citizens or H Visas for aliens allowed to work. In addition, I processed incoming mail and faxes, as well as assisting with scheduling appointments.I handle sensitive information such as the number holder's medical information, personal documents, as well as social security numbers. In my time here, I was able to assist with digitizing paper documents and reduced the wait time for social security card replacements by an average of an hour to an hour-and-a-half.Working here has taught me the expectations for working in a government institution as well as providing me with office experience.
