My Mission: Fostering a warmer, more empathetic, connected world.🌏I am passionate about building a community of global citizens through 'Seoul Nooks' in Korea. Global citizenship is a mindset, not a status—expanding our empathy and sense of belonging beyond birthplace.Starting as a coworking enthusiast in 2012, I co-founded one of Korea's first coworking spaces and later initiated an international coliving community. To me, community is not just a way of life; it's a way of movement. At Seoul Nooks, we live by: "Don't ask where I'm from. Ask where I love." and "Live like a traveler, stay like a local." We continuously ponder, study, and experiment on how we can better bring people closer and grow as better community leaders. Our ethos is rooted in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), townhalls, and co-creative initiatives, welcoming both long-term residents and short-term nomads.Through our community, I have become a better person, and I hope more people experience the same magic of community. One of the biggest changes I've experienced was the shift of my perspective towards conflicts. Previously conflict avoidant, I now define conflict as a gift. It's a special moment to learn more about ourselves, others, and build deeper relationships. I want to help others see it this way too. I want communities like ours to be a learning platform for diversity. My dedication to peacebuilding fuels my work. By creating a secure environment that transcends boundaries, I aim to foster appreciation and celebration of our differences, ultimately contributing to a more peaceful world.I'm happy to collaborate or have a chat on these themes. Feel free to reach out to me!

Founder/Community BuilderSeoul Nooks Sep 2019 - PresentSeoul, South KoreaSeoul Nooks is a vibrant community house in Korea that I founded, dedicated to fostering a family of global citizens who value connection, empathy, and personal growth. Our community welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, creating a unique space where everyone can feel at home.At Seoul Nooks, we believe in the transformative power of community. Our philosophy is simple yet profound:"Don't ask where I'm from. Ask where I love.""Live like a traveler, stay like a local."We cultivate an environment built on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), regular townhalls, and co-creative, community-driven initiatives. We pursue radical transparency and curate members with intention. Our community collectively decides who joins us, and anyone can edit our Notion directly. Existing members actively help new members settle in, creating an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. One of my strengths is nudging people to lead, ensuring that our community thrives sustainably. We take turns leading townhalls, which fosters shared responsibility and leadership within the community. Whether you're a long-term resident or a short-term nomad, you'll find a supportive and loving environment designed to help you grow.I'm proud of and thankful for our members, who make our community special. At Seoul Nooks, connections go beyond shared living. People visit each other, travel together, send packages, and even bring their parents to experience our community. It's truly like a family.Additionally, we run a Global Citizens Residency Program to deepen our commitment to fostering global citizenship. Our usual minimum stay is 2 months, reflecting our serious commitment to building lasting relationships.Having done most of the work to bring Seoul Nooks to life, I am continuously exploring ways to improve and expand our mission outside of Seoul. -

We designed and facilitated the 'WordPress on the Beach' program, an intensive educational experience held over weekends in Jeju. Co-Founder/Community BuilderZentrepreneurs Nov 2015 - Sep 2016Zentrepreneurs is a curated program that seamlessly blends Mindfulness and Entrepreneurship, empowering individuals to excel as entrepreneurs in their personal and professional lives. Our mission was to establish a community program that would enable more Asians to embrace the nomadic lifestyle and leverage this opportunity to deepen their self-discovery, foster connections with fellow Asians and local cultures, and broaden their horizons. Although we were only able to run this program on a small scale in Bali with a few Korean participants, the experience was invaluable. Consequently, we pivoted towards a community learning program, as we recognized that not enough Asians were able to travel and work yet.
