I worked on the Point-of-Sale team, in the Amazon physical stores. My team built software that enabled the operation of multiple business formats such as Books, 4-Star, Pop Up, Fresh and Go. I focused on payment processing for SNAP-EBT, Quick Chip EMV, Standard EMV, Amazon Gift Cards and Cash, but I also contributed with innovative technologies as Prime, Kindle and Audible up-sells. My contributions expanded to processing of product items, pricing, promotions, email and paper receipts, return of products and beyond. I had to opportunity to work with hardware and back-end systems by designing and implementing a user-friendly interface for our customers and associates. My team and I proudly bring the .com experience to the brick and mortar Amazon stores in all formats, in the US and UK.

I worked in the Engineering Team of Justia, which is the backbone of the company. I've been fortunate enough to collaborate on challenging projects. The following are some of my accomplishments:I reduced 6 working hours to only 1 by propositioning, designing, planning and developing a forced alignment tool for a very popular site where US Supreme Court's oral arguments can be heard. A python package was created after one and a half months of development.Upgraded the newsletter system, which sends more than 250K email daily to 3 different lists and more than 50 segments without system interruptions. Front-end page went from 8 seconds load time to only 1 second load time.Upgraded a site with more than 11 million pages without downtime by planning and implementing upgrades in the NFS filesystem, Symfony, PHP, Continuous Integration system, and adding support to multi-servers by sharing data between all instances in the array server.Additional to the items above I'm in charge of the maintenance of a couple of other big projects in long-term.

I helped interview customers in order to get the description of a new product they are willing to buy.One of my main duties was getting bugs fixed and refactoring code in a Web App developed in Java/Spring.
