After moving to another country, I decided to follow my passion for finance. I joined a startup focused on developing advanced tools for quantitative trading, where I contributed by adapting a Markov-chained based model to forecast the opening of the next market session.

In this role, I worked on integrating medical Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) with various Healthcare Information Systems (HIS) such as HIS Medialog and Promed and improving logistics and operations, achieving the following: • Created and maintained an ETL tool for the laboratory information system (LIS) utilizing HL7 and ASTM standards, integrating over 200 medical devices. • Developed an NLP classification model using PyTorch and NLTK to process medical prescription text. The model was trained to identify key features such as the drug's name, dosage, and frequency of administration, allowing the data to be stored in a tabular format. • Performed data analysis on the collected data from processed medical prescriptions using Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and Matplotlib. The analysis provided valuable insights that helped optimize the logistics and operations. • Built a dashboard using Plotly and Dash. The dashboard provided a visual representation of the state of logistics and operations.

While exploring the latest technologies and programming languages as a hobby, I decided to join the freelance community. I contributed to various startup projects, where I: • Created a trading bot in Python for automated cryptocurrency arbitrage on the LocalBitcoins platform, optimizing buy/sell decisions by exchanging Bitcoin for fiat and vice versa. • Developed the backend for a system to display ads on screens in shopping centers using Python and Django, designing and implementing a pricing system for ads. • Wrote web scraping scripts using Python, Requests, BeautifulSoup, and Selenium to extract and clean data, storing it in SQL databases for analysis and providing insights.
