To ensure I am responsible in my thought leadership, it was imperative I undertake deep and meaningful research on a topic that is still taboo but necessary for us as a people.....Trauma. Those disturbing events that happen in our lives and ultimately shape how we show up in the world, whether it be at work or at home. Projects undergo trauma through running over budget and never talking about it candidly (lessons learnt), people go through trauma by not talking about that childhood event or that workplace incident. We refuse to acknowledge these events which lend itself to being re-triggered in ways that make us play small and/or BE inefficient.My research dares to investigate the transformative nature of trauma and any wisdom that resides in it.It is time for us as a collective to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
