• Prepares, recommends, and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data.• Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records by all departments.• Serves as EEO specialist.• Monitors workers’ compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier.• Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objective for the entire company.• Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function (e.g., OSHA, EEO, Wage & Hour). Monitors exposure of the company. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Approves all information submitted. Acts as primary contact with outside government agencies.• Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. Consults with Executive Director on recommendations for termination. Reviews employee appeals through complaint procedure.• Establishes wage and salary structure, pay policies, performance appraisal programs, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and wellness programs. • Establishes standard recruiting and placement practices and procedures.• Conducts a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep top management informed of new developments.• Directs the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out functions of department. Prepares periodic reports to top management and Board of Directors, as necessary or requested.• Keeps supervisor informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.

-Schedule and interview potential candiates -Criminal background check on new hires -Drug screening for new hires-Reference checks on new hires -Add new hires to the LA New Hire Reporting site -Do orientation for new hires every two weeks-Audit I-9 Forms -License renewal on consultants -Keep track of personnel files to make sure everything is update and accurate -Check motor vehicle record for annual employees -Check Exculsions, OIG, and DSW monthly for all employees
