In an adolescent health clinic (aged 10-19), where MSF provides medical and mental health care, counseling, education and health promotion by reaching out communities to prevent the spreading of diseases, I was in charge for:Conducting context analysis to find out more about national social services and legislation with regards to protection,Mapping of actors compiled of grassroots and I/NGOs serving for adolescents for different needs, Planning social work activities alongside medical and MH activities,Conducting focused group discussions with adolescents to involve their presence and voice in the designing of the social work strategy, Strategizing the social work component in the clinic to address the non-medical needs of adolescents,Propose strategy and start implementation of activities.

● Working in collaboration with MH team in group settings, provide health education related to: o Personal hygiene in camp situations o Water and sanitation o Food hygiene o Prevention of disease in group settings o Signs and symptoms of common illnesses o Mental health awareness o Availability of other services ● Conduct individual short discussions to assess needs for NFI items, health status of families and individuals, and provide rapid education,● Health education activities specifically targeted to children (hygiene, hand washing) and women (ongoing contact to assess for SRH and SGBV red flags and to provide information on services),● Regarding healthcare and social needs, refer to available services for longer psycho-social assistance,● Create and maintain a comprehensive list of available health and social services including other NGOs and public service groups, the types of services they provide, and contact information.

● Following up with evaluation reports and updates published in local language,● Translating relevant documents for Emergency Coordinator,● Networking with chamber of medical doctors, association of psychologists, and other actors who are currently in the earthquake zone for providing support (mapping for actors),● Contacting actors in field and receive needs assessment from their side and then liaise the needs with LogCo and Emerg Coord,● Following up with distribution to be reached in the affected zone.

With activities of social work and protection are placed under MHPSS services, I have been working with a multidisciplinary team composed of legal advisor, psychologist, psychiatrist as well as medical project consultants where we each seek to support refugees' access to healthcare and social rights according to their legal statuses.

The city of İstanbul is not only a historical city hosting empires and civilizations for ages, but it has also been a hub for refugees regardless of age and time. Following to the memory projects ran in Vilnius, Palermo, Paris and Berlin, WeRefugees Archive project aimed to conduct semi-structured field interviews with refugees having been living in İstanbul as part of its contemporary project pillar. My contribution to this multifunctional team consisted of identification of interviews based on specified demographical features; developing structured questionnaire; managing with human resource (translation services); preparing informed consent and conducting face-to-face interviews with refugees; doing transcription and translation work; editing introduction text for the webpage format.

The project was run by CA and technically supported by Médecins sans frontières which was based in Fatih. It has been launched for providing medical case management as well as MHPSS services for survivors of torture. Providing legal and social counseling to asylum seekers under temporary protection and international protection as well as residence permit holders and undocumented people is key role that I, as a social worker, maintain within Turkey's migration legal framework and social policies. Women, children, LGBTI+ individuals as well as people with disabilities, elderly and men are target population.
