Being a part of an inside call center sales team, the Direct Sales Agent would have to be responsible for selling property and casualty insurance via inbound calls, consistent with Assurant policies and best practices. Current clients refer their customers so no prospecting or cold calling is involved. Successful candidates will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sales oriented environment where performance is rewarded.I was required to have and/or obtain and maintain a Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license for the states in which we do business.•Responsible for making sales presentations and selling our products and services in a fast-paced inbound call center environment. •Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals, following operational processes and procedures.•Follow proven scripting to deliver compelling sales presentations.•Identify needs, gather information, address and overcome customer objections and process transactions as appropriate.•Manage challenging client situations while maintaining composure and following best practices.•Respond to customer inquiries, assist and educate customers on the company, and identify opportunities to sell our products and services.•Appropriately escalate customer requests and situations requiring further assistance when necessary according to guidelines.•Manage multiple priorities and balance workload based on business needs. Responsible for meeting deadlines and quality standards.•Build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Request information and/or provide updates as needed.•Maintain and update product knowledge on an on-going basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.•Participate in continuing education opportunities and maintain license requirements.
