It lasts from December onwards whereby students representing their halls for various sports come together to compete for the championship. A very wide range of sports is available and absolutely everyone is encouraged to participate in a sport. Training is provided all year round to sharpen the skills of the participants, to strengthen the bond within the team and to build up the confidence of each sportsman.Needless to say, the Hall Olympiad is one of the biggest hall events that happens each year as many students are involved and much effort is put into the trainings. Participating sportsmen not only have the opportunity to further strengthen relations with their own hall-cum-teammates, but they are also given the chance to interact in a wider social circle as they move among sportsmen from other halls.Role of a Sports Secretary:• Planning and carrying out of Inter-Hall Games 10/11• Booking of venue for the various sports for trainings to be carried out• Managing of funds allocated so that every sport has basic equipments to start up a team• Ensure each sport has a responsible manager• Work closely with the managers and follow up on the progress of each sport on a weekly basis Show less
