Building the best Fruits and vegetables buying experience for the Indian consumers

Started a B2B distribution business for fruits and vegetables. We specialised in select fruits and serviced more than 300+ retailers in Gurgaon. We didn’t find a good PMF and shut that business.

- Built the pan India dark store network for Blinkit. My team set up 450+ dark stores in a year - 120 of which were set in a single month. We set up the entire operating processes, onboarded more than 5000 store executives and delivery personnel and deployed a capex of 200+ cr during that period. This played the most pivotal role in establishing Blinkit’s dominance in the quick commerce business.- Built the franchisees network, a first of its kind in India, for the dark stores. We onboarded 400+ operating partners who invested more than 150 cr of their capital to work with Blinkit. This model is now being copied by both Zepto and Swiggy.- Built the offline (B2B2C) for Grofers. We built a network of 200+ offline stores in NCR in collaboration with existing retailers. Unfortunately this initiative had to be closed prematurely because of Covid.- Led the pan India Last mile team for Grofers. We transitioned the entire delivery fleet and the distribution centers from fixed payouts to 100% variable model. This brought down the Last Mile cost by more than 50% within 8 months.

Led teams across different functions including returns and reverse logistics, marketplace fulfilment and special projects and strategy team • Worked closely with the Product Management Team on the supply chain road map to automate & scale operations and improve process efficiency• Launched dynamic pickup scheduling, predictive pickups and a new fulfillment model for marketplace sellers• Identified and drove cross-functional initiatives to improve customers and sellers experience

Responsible for customer experience strategy and policies, product road map, P&L and operations• Scaled and led the team to handle 3X contact points across multiple channels in a period of 6 months• Set up the alternate fulfilment team to reduce order cancellations by 70%• Automated and revamped the returns process to achieve amongst the fastest resolution rate in the industry

• Conceptualized and scaled Oneship, a specialized inbound logistics model for marketplace sellers which helped reduce the courier expenses by 15% and gave additional service coverage• Set up a dedicated reverse logistics team and regional quality check centres for faster complaints resolution

Responsible for order processing and warehousing operations • Established and scaled Fulfillment and Warehousing operations to a team size of 150 members• Set up and standardized processes across departments to achieve processing accuracy in more than 99.8% of total orders

Drove key projects focused on the development of the microfinance industry in India • Coordinated efforts with MFIs and Credit Bureaus to set up a dedicated Credit Bureau for all Microfinance Institutions in India. The bureau had records of more than 50 million loan accounts• Established six Regional and State chapters of MFIN for policy advocacy and better co-ordination among various stakeholders (State Governments, Banks, Investment Funds and Development agencies)

Led the largest national level advocacy platform for microfinance industry in India• Conceptualized and successfully organized the Invest Asia Fair attracting 15 international investors and 49 Microfinance Institutions from the Indian sub-continent and Afghanistan • Raised a sponsorship of INR 15 million for the microfinance India Summit 2009 which attracted a participation of about 900 national and international delegates

Responsible for P&L of three sales teams in Delhi and Gurgaon• Built and led a 5 member team to highest monthly retail business sales (INR 8 million) pan India in January and February 07 in Agency Vertical. • Achieved highest monthly sales in agency vertical; twice over a period of 10 months as a channel manager
