The model was widely used and journal articles were cited by Multiphase CFD community.• Built computational codes in FORTRAN and MATLAB, allowing for extraction and analysis of data for constructing 2D and 3D filtered TFMs from highly resolved simulations of the kinetic theory model using a mesh ~ 10 particle diameter.• Verified model fidelity via comparison of coarse-scale statistical results from filtered model and highly resolved “kinetic theory based” model and conducted validation studies against experiments to demonstrate model capabilities. -
