Was responsible for coding major revenue generating features of the site including algorithms for displaying graphical and text advertisements, logic for presenting pay-per-click merchant offers. Implemented internal revenue-tracking system as well as integrated with Omniture for user tracking. Designed and build many configuration tools which cut down on number of releases and added to the stability of the site.As a lead engineer, enforced good software development practices in the team, such as unit tests, code documentation, and informal code reviews. Also conducted design reviews, refactored code, trained new team members, and did everything else that otherwise fell through the cracks.

Was part of the team that worked on migrating DealTime.com from mod-perl to Java. This was a complete rewrite of the Front-End architecture which led to much improved performance.Major accomplishment: single-handedly wrote custom message board application including complex admin portal.

Started my own software development shop while in college and worked with many Bay Area startups.Projects included: eCommerce sites, link aggregators, site scrapers, one of the first web-based RSS reader and even web-based bar management software.Managed all aspects of software development process from conception to distribution.
