I am a trade finance manager with experience in a wide variety of products gained working for banks as well as commodity traders. My experience has taken me to work for big and small trading companies which provided me with the knowledge on how to operate the daily functions in any company. I know how to manage the financing of transactions and forecasting the needs for future deals, have a strong attention to details and great negotiation skills. My experience working for banks gave me a great understanding of how import/export Doc LC and SBLC work. It is this operational part of my job that requires attention to details, deep knowledge of the rules (UCP600, ISBP, ISP98) and understanding of the compliance risks involved in these transactions (OFAC, Boycott regulations, AML). Finally, I am highly involved with all other departments which is essential in order to be successful in my role. Engage with traders and their activities to understand the transactions and obtained the best financing structure, follow up with the scheduling team on the logistics of the transactions in order to ensure financing activities are carried out in a timely manner, be actively involved with the credit risk of counterparties and banks to avoid risky transactions, check contract terms to understand how it affects finance related requirements, make sure all the AP are paid on time and follow up on the AR to avoid extra cost on the financing of transactions.
