LUXTECH is a leading B2B LED lighting component supplier. I played a key role in developing and executing on a vision of ubiquitous human-centric lighting. As a growing startup with many positive challenges, I wore numerous hats, including marketing, product development, and product management.

The Drexel dLUX Lab focuses on solutions to make the built environment healthier. My research and development activities were centered on the effects of circadian rhythm disruption from artificial light sources. Along with Dr. Eugenia Ellis, I co-developed one of the earliest color-tunable (RGBW) light fixtures for use in research studies. When paired with a properly-programmed control system, the luminaire could change in color temperature and intensity throughout the day, mimicking the patterns of the sun. The project was targeted specifically at patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

In this position I oversaw and mentored forty freshman students in a university residence hall. I was responsible for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment, building relationships among community members, and organizing events. As a resident assistant, I strengthened my skills in clear, unbiased communication as well as conflict resolution and group leadership.

cloudControl is a European Platform-as-a-Service provider, which has also acquired dotCloud in the U.S. During my internship in Berlin, I worked closely with the frontend and backend development teams, as well as existing customers and marketing analysts, to develop an enterprise business plan. This work also extended into refining the web interface and redeveloping the new user onboarding process.

EwingCole is an integrated architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning firm specializing in healthcare, sports and entertainment, academic, cultural, corporate, and government projects. Notable works include the MetLife Stadium, the Rohm and Haas corportate headquarters, and Citizens Bank Park. I worked as an electrical engineering intern with the sports and entertainment team. My duties included assisting with the design of building electrical systems, designing and optimizing lighting schemes, coordinating the electrical requirements of computer, fire safety, kitchen, security, and mechanical systems, and optimizing plans for LEED certification.
