I am the President and founder of SmartLogic, a Baltimore-based consultancy that has been building custom web and mobile software applications since 2005. You’ve heard of our big clients; we work with funded startups like Optoro, Leafly, and Red Owl Analytics, as well as large nonprofits and enterprises like the Annie E Casey Foundation, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and Baltimore Water Taxi.SmartLogic has always been at the forefront of new web technologies. These days we build custom responsive web, iOS, and Android applications with Elixir/Phoenix and React Native, while still building and maintaining a handful of Ruby on Rails projects.We are currently hiring technical talent, and are always looking to talk to smart people with positive attitudes.SmartLogic and I have been featured in a number of publications including Baltimore Business Journal, Baltimore Sun, Fortune Magazine, SmartCEO and various other local publications.I received BS/MSE degrees in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. Outside of business, I lead a very active lifestyle; current activities include international travel, running, biking (I’ve lived car-free since 2016), squash and piano. I’m a board member of ETC Baltimore and Maryland/Israel Development Center, was a cofounder of TeamPassword (acquired 2018) and Bikemore, and am on the advisory boards of Betamore and the LifeBridge BioIncubator.I love to travel and try to visit a couple new countries every year. In addition to touring North Korea and Iran, I've been to various countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe. While I have a few family members in the USA, the majority of them live abroad - Israel, Wales, and Germany.I’m always interested in connecting with smart, active people who are making things happen. I like to get involved with creative projects.
