Designed AWS architecture and led a multi team effort to move the D2D Platform to AWS.

Designed from scratch a distributed application for media ingestion using Flex, Spring, JBPM and ActiveMQ. Refactored existing architecture to improve performance and extend database support from MySql to Oracle and SQL Server.

Artesia DAM is an enterprise media asset management solution providing for securely ingesting rich media content and metadata to manage the creative workflows around edit, collaboration, and distribution of digital media files. This is a multitier solution that uses SqlServer or Oracle as a database, Hibernate for data access layer, EJB2 for services and provides Web Services (Axis and XFire) as well as JSP based GUI based on Struts and new Flex GUI with BlazeDS.I had an opportunity to work with pretty much every aspect of the application. That includes tuning database queries for SqlServer and Oracle, improving database performance, designed a whole new functionality supporting hierarchical data structures, that include design, prototyping (with Swing based GUI) , writing data layer and EJB’s, leading offshore team to provide additional functionality based on my design and API.
