After completing a Master's in Economics and Finance at Oxford, Ygor worked as an Econometrician and Competition Economist for clients like Google and Microsoft across Europe and Africa. His econometric models convinced the Competition Tribunal to approve some of Africa's most significant mergers, like SAB-Miller. He then built credit-scoring models for Experian and led Sales and Commercial Engagements with Barclays Bank and Standard Bank. He followed this as Director of ViacomCBS Strategy, Business Development, Distribution and Research, where he launched linear and digital channels across 48 countries (including BET and MTV South Africa), doubling reach and operating income. Following a passion for technology, he topped up his skills with Python and Algorithmic Trading at Oxford and pursued a PhD in Computational Economics. He launched two venture-backed FinTechs: Bleep, a short-video dApp that beat TikTok to#1 in South Africa, and GoBankless, which provides cross-border payment financing to banks and SMEs. His experience as a CEO and Founder expanded his network of C-level contacts and regulatory bodies while sharpening his Leadership and team-building skills.
