As a Northeastern University alumnus, I hold both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering, specializing in Biomedical Devices. My academic journey has been marked by leadership in multiple device development projects, addressing unmet clinical needs. My capstone project focused on the development of a pulse oximeter designed to deliver accurate readings across diverse skin tones in hypoxic conditions. I also authored a proposal detailing potential modifications to the coating of urinary catheters aimed at minimizing biofilm formation and reducing associated urinary tract infections. The proposal also included comprehensive validation and verification protocols to assess the efficacy of these modifications.Following the completion of my master's degree, I engaged in a year of intensive clinical experience, which included a medical mission in Ethiopia, EMS experience, and volunteer work at several medical institutes. These experiences have enriched my practical understanding of medical needs and device applications in real-world settings.I am now eager to advance my career in research and development, specifically focusing on the innovation of medical devices. I am seeking opportunities to contribute my expertise and passion for healthcare improvement through cutting-edge technology.
