In charge of the insurance arrangement and risk management of Sinopec Group

Previously I was more of a wholesale reinsurance Energy broker and regional resource to various local offices in Singapore. Now I am back on the front line and responsible for servicing major oil/gas companies in China together with business development. Following the One Belt One Road initiatives, one of my very important jobs is to assist and ensure all risks faced by our Chinese oil/gas companies while carrying out works overseas in various different countries to be well mitigated and controlled through various tools. Also, we provide insurance advisory and assist our clients in contract review, so our clients would comply with the local regulations all time and obtain the correct insurance coverage for their exposures overseas.

My major responsibility is to provide regional support and specialty expertise to the local offices in Asia to develop new business in the Natural Resources industry sector including Power/Utility, Renewable Energy and Upstream/Downstream Energy. My daily work covers a wide spectrum of responsibilities including preparing tender submission, meeting prospects together with the local office people, arranging renewal meetings, engaging in the renewal strategy discussion, providing day-to-day client servicing, and handling (re)insurance broking for Energy risks in Asia insurance market.
