Key responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan as well as policies and systems for the International Office, integrating the work of the operational groups within the context of the portfolio of International and the University planning and policy framework; and ensure these plans are aligned with the strategic direction of WSU and that they provide efficient international student recruitment, admission and support functions- Develop and implement effective marketing and recruitment strategies and policies for the recruitment of targets of international students developed in consultation with relevant stakeholders- Ensure the strategies provide for optimum coordination with Schools and the University’s academic program and manage the international activities both overseas and in Australia- Oversee the management of the transnational programs conducted by WSU around the world by promoting and maintain high level collaboration with senior colleagues in key operational areas within the University and external organisations- Provide leadership and direction for the International Office to effectively manage its financial, administrative, staffing and other resources ensuring the provision and maintenance of a quality customer focus service to clients- Ensure that the legislative requirements, including the provisions of the Education for Overseas Students Act 2001, Streamlined Visa Processing requirements, principles and plans for equal opportunity for staff and students, Affirmative Action Programs/plans and the occupational health and safety plan, are incorporated into all aspects of the work of the of the International Office
