I am passionate about sustainability, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) as my North Star. Currently, I am pursuing a MSc in Finance with a strong focus on quantitative analysis and financial research. My background in both engineering and business has provided me with a unique skill set that allows me to approach financial markets with a data-driven perspective.My current research involves computing an uncertainty index using alternative data sources, such as newspapers, to identify key economic indicators like inflation, deflation, and market uncertainty. This work demonstrates my ability to leverage unconventional data to gain insights into market trends and contribute to informed investment strategies.As the founder of the Chinese Graduate Student Association (CGSA) at UBC, I am committed to building a close-knit community by creating a platform that connects Chinese graduate students from all disciplines.
