About Demi (Yi-Chun) Cho

I am a Genomic and Molecular Research Project Officer at CSIRO. I have a strong background and am highly experienced in molecular biology and bioinformatics(multi-omics), including the analysis, interpretation, and visualisation of high-throughput biomedical data generated by microarray, next-generation sequencing, and metagenomics in bash (slurm) and R in High-performance Computing (HPC) environment. To visualise the analytical results, I designed websites, including DriverDBv3, LipidSig, and an Adaptative End-To-End RNAseq Website for non-model organisms from quality assessment to functional enrichment analysis. With more than four years of experience working in PC2 and clinical labs for clinical research and the molecular biology field, I am acquainted with the clinical trial process and molecular and biochemistry experiments.I am eager to apply my knowledge and experience in the bioinformatics field to the real circumstance with my research abilities, collaborative skills and interpersonal skills, and most importantly, flexibility and can-do attitude.
