Academic:Teaching Assistant for classes related to digital logic, SQL, AI, modeling and simulation.Solve the sensor placement problem for fault diagnosis by using A* search algorithm, which is also compared with a well-established method, i.e., the Dulmage-Mendelsohn decomposition method.Apply the sequence mining algorithm, MFHSPAM (Multi-featured hierarchical sequential pattern mining), to discover patterns that can help people understand students' learning behaviors when they are working in Open-Ended Learning Environment (OELE). - Data are collected as sequences of students' actions in OELEs. - Both the standard and the differential sequence mining versions have been applied.Perform data-driven learner modeling using Hidden Markov Model (HMM). - Combine techniques such as Monte Carlo tree search, coherence modeling, and reinforcement learning to generated refined versions of the HMMs to meet to modeling purposes: classification and scaffolding. - Other techniques such as HMM cluster, Bayesian Information Criterion, none-parametric test, ANOVA, ANCOVA have been applied to solve the modeling and analytical challenges.
