During my tenure of over two years at the Ministry of Health and Welfare Shuang-Ho Hospital, I worked in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. There, I was responsible for the care of patients undergoing procedures such as cardiac catheterization, heart surgeries, and the placement of ECMO or PCPS devices. Due to the previous Covid epidemic, I also attended to patients from neurosurgery and more severe general surgery cases. Basic nursing care such as assisting with patient turning, enteral feeding, suctioning, etc., was part of my daily responsibilities, along with being prepared for emergency situations.Throughout my time at the hospital, I not only enhanced my professional skills but also developed effective communication techniques, including patient education and delivering bad news. Additionally, I learned how to seamlessly transition between independent and collaborative work, ensuring timely completion of tasks within my scope of practice.
