Cell viability assays reveal that TAT-PinX1-C inhibits proliferation in a dose-dependent manner in all breast cell lines tested independent of their p53, ER, and HER2 status. The protein also inhibits colony formation of MDA-MB-231 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Annexin V and PI staining reveal that the protein promotes apoptosis of MDA-MB-231 cells. Cell cycle analysis indicates that the protein induces a G1 phase arrest. TRF Length measurement shows that the protein decreases the TRF Length of breast cancer cells. We will test the anti-tumor activity of the protein in xenograft nude mice next. These results suggest the potential of TAT-PinX1-C in targeted therapy of breast cancer.  Cooperated with the overseas team to set up three labs. Cooperated with the overseas team to achieve three important research funding. Published four research articles on Biophysical Chemistry, Protein Peptide Lett, etc.
