Welcome to my profile!I am Dr. Anna-Maria Yiannikos, and I have been practicing dentistry for 33 years in Cyprus. With over three decades of dedicated dental practice in Cyprus, I've had the privilege of pioneering advancements in Dental Lasers and Cosmetic Dentistry. As a proud member of the first cohort of European dentists awarded the esteemed 'Master in Lasers in Dentistry' qualification from the University of Aachen, Germany, in 2006, I've been an integral part of the Master's Course in Lasers in Dentistry at Aachen University since January 2008.I've had the honor of sharing my expertise as a keynote speaker at influential global events, including the International Congress for Lasers in Dentistry (2006), the 6th World Congress for Photo Medicine and Low-Level Laser Therapy (2006), and the 11th Congress of the World Federation for Laser Dentistry in Hong Kong (2008). My clinical research in Dental Lasers was recognized with a Golden Award at the ISLD Congress in Berlin (2006).Alongside my dental qualifications, I hold Master's Degrees in Lasers (MSc) and Business Administration (MBA). My commitment to continuous learning led me to complete a Master Clinician Programme in Aesthetic Dentistry at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA.I take immense pride in establishing Cyprus' inaugural Dental Clinic adhering to the international standards of ISO 9001 (for Quality in Dental Services) and OHSAS 18001 (for Health and Safety).I've enriched my skills through seminars in cosmetic dentistry at New York University (NYU), USA. As the Cyprus representative of the World Federation for Laser Dentistry and a founding member of HELSOLA (Hellenic Society for Oral Laser Applications), I'm dedicated to advancing laser applications in oral healthcare.Committed to safe practices, I obtained certification in the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (S.M.A.R.T) from the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT) in 2017. Additionally, from 2022, I have been accredited as a biological dentist by the same organization.As the author of “Laser International Magazine,” published by Oemus Media in Leipzig, Germany, I'm privileged to contribute to the global discourse on dental lasers.Currently, I'm embarking on a Master’s degree in clinical toxicology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, expanding my expertise in the field.Let's connect and explore opportunities to collaborate on advancements in dentistry!
