• Organize and lead virtual and in-person orientation for 100+ new students every semester• Work closely with undergraduate and graduate international students to advise on immigration regulations and program policies• Build a strong and effective working relationship with major and general education departments to verify students’ academic statuses in completing their degree requirements• Develop and deliver employment workshops for students preparing to apply for post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT)• Communicate with International Admissions, American Language Program, student, and the student’s former U.S. institution (if any) to coordinate issuance of immigration documentation

American Language Program (Alp)

• Organized and lead in-person and virtual orientation for 50-100 new students from admissions to enrollment every term and ensured a smooth onboarding experience• Assisted and streamlined application process for students transitioning from non-degree to undergraduate and graduate degree programs and increased acceptance rates by 15%• Built strong rapport with prospective and current international students from initial correspondence to the end of their program and advised on immigration regulations and program policies• Chaired and participated in hiring committees for our division• Participated in international marketing and recruitment activities (conferences, fairs) to connect and partner with other institutions to promote Cal State East Bay programs

• Planned and implemented pre-test, test-day, and post-test procedures and timeline for 100-160 test takers every month• Coordinated all processes of IELTS online registration• Daily use and maintenance of grading and payment databases (PeopleSoft, Cashnet, IWAS, and IAM)• Scheduled and supervised 16 test-day staff members (Examiners and Invigilators)
