I like software development and enjoy using deep learning methods to solve real-world problems, specifically related to computer vision. Last summer, I was a software engineer intern at Amazon payment service team, and I was working on a project related to a throttle control function for Amazon's payment execution service. Before I started graduate school, I was an algorithm engineer at Aibee Inc. where I gained lots of professional experience applying CV methods to offer total solutions to retail industries. I worked on the single-view object tracking, object recognition, multi-view person re-identification, large-scale image classification, knowledge distilling, network pruning problems at Aibee. Currently, I’m pursuing master's degree in Computer Science at University of Southern California (USC) Viterbi School of Engineering and expected to graduate in May 2021.

Aug 2018 - Jun 2019Beijing, Beijing, Cn▪ Worked and interacted with R&D department and as a core member in human appearance team responsible for research, design, implementation, and optimization of AI algorithms related to face recognition, person re-identification, large-scale image classification, tracking, etc. ▪ Developed and implemented light-weight ResNet-18 models for the single-view and multi-view car tracking in parking lots.▪ Explored and developed a CNN model using Caffe framework for car model and color recognition.▪ Prototyped and implemented (on camera chip) an efficient MobileNets for multi-view person re-identification with only 5% recall loss compared to ResNet-50 implementation.▪ Designed networks and wrote C++ library for knowledge distillation, metric learning, data augmentation, MegaBatch, multi-loss training and achieved models with better recalls at target precision.▪ Created and programmed pipelines for data cleaning and clustering, models training, models evaluation and test. -
Summer Research StudentIntegrative Structural Biology Laboratory, Ucsf Jun 2017 - Aug 2017▪ Established mathematical restraints by translating all types of TFIIH structural data (NMR/X-ray, cross-linking, cryo-EM, etc.) and achieved multiscale modeling with 95% accuracy using IMP/PMI platform.▪ Sampled TFIIH with Metropolis Replica Exchange Gibbs Sampler guided by restraint-based scoring functions, and validated simulation improvements in terms of score, RMSD, homogeneity, etc.▪ Analyzed and assessed serial simulations with varying Occam Spring restraints to optimize setting parameters, and improved simulated model accuracy from 95% to 97% compared to the benchmark experiment.
