- Lead the agriculture and forestry team to brand Alberta industry in China and raise the recognition on Alberta products and services.- Increase Alberta agriculture and forestry products export to China and outbound investment to Alberta. Coach and assist Alberta exporters to export to Chinese markets, provide relevant and tailored services and information to companies in terms of their products, technologies and needs. - Facilitate marketing projects for Alberta industries and products. I cooperate with different organizations including Chinese R&D institutes and importers to organize marketing campaigns.- Initiate and organize business missions to Alberta for trade and investment purposes. - Contributed to negotiations between Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ) on animal and plant product market access issues. - Performed research and analyzed Chinese food, animal, and plant product import regulations. Tracked the changes of the key decision makers and influencers in Chinese governments. Reported the intelligence to CFIA for setting up priorities for this market.- Monitored and reported call-for-comments of new Chinese legislation.
