I recently graduated with a master degree at University of Wisconsin Madison, studying business analytics. My previous bachelor’s degree was completed at Boston University, with a major in information system management. I have built both sound technical skills and interpersonal skills during my studies. And there are many of practical skills in my arsenal that includes:data modeling using Python, SQL, and Microsoft suites, as well as multiple Unified Modeling Language techniques (DataFlowDiagram, Entity_relationship_model), and last but not least data processing and visualization using Power BI and Tableau, and HTML，CSS for UI development. information system management, data mining using JavaScript and python API, and data visualization based on Power BI and Tableau. My most recent internship was a Consulting analyst Intern at Amcon Retailing Group, a nationally renowned retailing chain store. As an assigned data manager, I assisted on the entire data modeling and ETL process of company’s data pipeline, and using MYSQL to renovate the database infrastructure. Besides that, I also helped on the data mining procedure to uncover key insights from the user panel data. Specifically, I used SQL and Python to interpret and analyze previous purchase behaviors, and came up with the market basket analysis for all product lines, a.k.a. the most associated item bundles for the use of future sales strategy. With all the analysis complete, I presented retrieved KPIs in Power BI dashboard that can be accessed from the sales team in the future. The impact of my project covers the forecast of profitability of the company retail line for the next 3 years, and more to the facilitation of data processing at business level. My team’s work significantly broadened the strategy of the company with the prowess of data analysis in the future. I firmly believe that my background knowledge highly aligned with the company’s required responsibilities. I believe with my previous experiences I can be the most qualified candidate for your team!
