About Lena Lai
I’m a Master's Accounting student at the University of Maryland, being ready to graduate in December 2022. I'm actively applying for jobs which can let me utilize financial analysis, accounting, taxation, and auditing skills. After graduation from the University of Liverpool , I interned at one of the best stock exchanges in China called Changjiang Stock Securities as an industry analyst, where I’ve gained the most excellent experience from preparing daily industry reports, attending interviews conducted among clients(CFOs/CEOs of companies on which our team focused), and researching authoratative resources to prepare for in-depth reports which can verify an investment logic from my team leader. My research included the analysis of the history of Boeing and Airbus development. Incorporated with policies and development of the Aviation Industry in China, I projected the future value of second Tier corporation stocks and landed a foundation theory for our team to expect stock price movement and to perform more comprehensive and detailed analysis for target companies. I’ve interned in KPMG twice as an auditor during the winter season, spending valuable time with different audit teams that mainly worked with companies in the manufacturing industry. My biggest achievement was the completion of an inventory count report onsite alone due to a temporary team member shortage. I communicated with clients in financial, warehouse, and R&D departments in a limited period and generated the required report successfully, conquering climates and other issues. (which is tricky for a beginner). From this experience, I’ve largely developed my communication skills and built huge confidence in how to tackle unexpected issues as a professional. I’m open to and excited about participating in any positions that can develop myself in the real business world through utilizing my accounting/finance analysis skills. I prefer the full-time positions sponsoring the h1b visa for international students.
