This role involves preparing general and specific risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environmental management. Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is crucial. The role includes preparing, formatting, or reformatting documents and drawings, establishing a master list for all documents and drawings, and storing hard copies accordingly. Support is provided to Project Managers, Site Managers, and Technical Superintendents on H&S and environmental issues. Assisting project managers with resource and staff management is also part of the responsibilities. Toolbox Talks are prepared and performed, and training sessions for current or anticipated situations are organized. Data on produced and recyclable wastes and used resources is gathered, and monthly/annual reports are prepared. Observing and coordinating H&S procedures on-site, identifying weak spots, and suggesting improvements is essential. The role includes investigating accidents and near misses, issuing reports, recommendations, and penalties per internal and government laws, and participating in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis. Monitoring and tracking audit findings and actions are required, as is organizing and attending monthly safety meetings held by the H&S committee. Additionally, monitoring road safety activities and imposing penalties for violations are key duties.

This role involves developing H&S procedures, maintaining records, and ensuring effective communication between the workforce, management, and clients. Support is provided to Project and Site Managers on H&S issues, and continuous communication is maintained through various channels.
