CurrentI am responsible for executing a comprehensive collateral management project with the goal of automating daily variation margining and ensuring that all new initial margin requirements were met. This involves streamlining existing processes, re-evaluating current documentation and implementing new technology solutions to manage the collateral in a secure and efficient manner. The project requires extensive research into current market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in order to ensure that our counterparties would receive the highest level of service. Additionally, I work closely with our IT team to develop an automated system that could handle all of the necessary calculations for determining margin requirements in a timely fashion.Other than the project mentioned above the desk I lead encounters a host of IT-related issues annually, from planning the internal workflow of software development teams to verifying, formulating, approving, overseeing and executing yearly IT budgetsAnother critical mission of the team I manage is supervising to ensure all daily collateral management processes are completed with efficiency and precision. This includes monitoring US, EU, and Turkey government bond yields, CDS (credit default swap), and FX (foreign exchange) rates on a daily basis to determine initial and variation margin requirements.
