Report to: Global Category DirectorDirect Subordinates: 5 buyers (2 located in China, 2 in Germany, 1 in Argentina)Responsible Annual Purchasing Value: ~220 Million USDLocated: Shanghai, China Responsibility: • Lead global category purchasing team of playbacks and displays• Monitor supplier performance and reevaluate capabilities. Develop and implement category strategy. • Coordinate technical lead & supplier interface resources to continually develop supply base and understand market trends/changes. • Engage with engineering and BU staff to assure link & leverage, supply base optimization, and material communization opportunities are realized. • Create productivity target and improvement plan; Lead buyers in line with the category strategy and accomplish plan.• Develop and maintain robust sourcing strategy globally and regionally.• Lead sourcing team to achieve the goal of cost, quality, lead-time, etc.• Lead negotiation.

Report to: R&D Manager Direct Subordinates: 21 engineers Located: Shanghai, China & Saitama / Kanagawa, JapanResponsibility: • Hardware design; Audio & Video Electronic Products (DVD/HDD RECORDER).• New model development planner. • Project management for engineering team.• Quality control.• Work as interface between Japan HQ and Shanghai R&D center.• Coordinate suppliers & multiple-functional teams to ensure smooth development of new product.• Work as baby-sitter for the project from the start point of concept conceiving to new products’ releasing into the market.
