Yin Chen graduated from the National University of Malaysia with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2008. Upon graduation, he completed his Provisionally Registered Pharmacist Training in Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban in 2009 and joined the pharmacy enforcement unit in Sabah. He started his career in community pharmacy in year 2012 with Alpro Pharmacy Group, a medium size chain pharmacy then with 12 stores as the procurement pharmacist. He gained his experience in business negotiation, inventory control as well as vendor relationship management. In year 2015, he started to head the department of marketing in Alpro Pharmacy Group, bringing the branding of Alpro Pharmacy, “Medication Safety, Our Priority” to a new benchmark by successfully getting product liability insurance coverage for all the medication dispensed in Alpro Pharmacy to ensure the quality, safety and genuity of the medicine. He is currently holding the position of Branding, Promotion and Trade Marketing Director in Alpro Pharmacy Group. In year 2021, Alpro Pharmacy is officially being recognised by Malaysia Book of Record as the “Largest Prescription Pharmacy in Malaysia.”Ph. Lee is also currently leading the e-commerce department of Alpro Pharmacy. With the advent of the New Retail Era, he is also playing an important role in the digital transformation of Alpro Pharmacy Group especially in the area of O2O.Ph. Lee is also a certified professional trainer and has given various training and talks on community pharmacy practice, marketing, branding as well as e-commerce. As a pharmacist, Ph. Lee also involved himself in contributing to the development of pharmacy industry. He was the non-fixed member of Pharmaceutical Steering Committee by Malaysia Competition Committee (MyCC) from 2017-2018. He is currently the deputy president of Malaysian Community Pharmacy Guild, a position that he has been holding since 2015. He is also a member of Online Healthcare Services Regulatory Lab (by MOH, Malaysia) member since 2022.
