- Conduct fundamental research on companies across energy, healthcare, real estate and transportation sectors - Build and update financial models post earnings and analyze new debt investment opportunities- Provide analysis and investment recommendations to senior research analysts and portfolio managers

• Research and prepare economic valuation for three Asia-Pacific countries: Australia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand in order to complete country analysis for making investment recommendations • Monitor and analyze financial markets and news to keep updated and in line with investment recommendations

• Conduct in-depth equity research using valuation model such as discounted dividends models, discounted cash flow models, relative valuation and financial statement analysis; prepare analysis reports on industries and companies.• Direct a domestic equity team of 11 analysts, educate them in the necessary databases such as Capital IQ and IBISWorld, and instruct them on analysis tool and methods needed to generate stock selection ideas• Utilize a top-down approach in developing portfolio, evaluate past and current sector’s performance, cooperate with other 10 members from macroeconomy team, international equity team, fixed income team and portfolio management team to develop a promising portfolio.• Placed 3rd in RFP Investment Competition, which was organized by CFA Society of Orange County (CFAOC), and got $30k funding from CFAOC for investment management. • Manage a portfolio of $30k for CFAOC, track equity portfolio performance using Bloomberg Spreadsheet and StockTrack account on a biweekly basis

• Strengthened institutional knowledge about investment banking, becoming familiar with the process of A Share IPO, due diligence, and the structuring of mergers & acquisitions• Conducted research on Bank of Chongqing using Wind, a widely used financial terminal in China; calculated capital adequacy ratio using valuation model in Excel; created past three-year comparison charts on loan scale, deposit scale, and net profit• Evaluated the financial status of Bank of Chongqing, created schedule of A Share IPO, calculated initial offering scale and price using PE and PB ratio, and created preliminary prospectus for Bank of Chongqing
