Sustain Our Future Foundation (SOFF) is a national, impact organization that works to transform sustainable development to maximize equitable community benefits and achieve environmental justice outcomes. By redistributing profits from sustainable development projects into community-driven impact initiatives, the Foundation works to build free, thriving, and regenerative communities through consulting services and social impact programs. The growing green economy necessitates a strong environmental justice analysis. I founded SOFF to embed environmental justice and community impact strategies into environmental, social, governance practices. By leaning into a radical imagination for transformative change, the Foundation envisions a health-oriented, equitable, and regenerative economy that bridges sustainable development, community wellness, and ecological preservation.As the Founder, President, and CEO, I cultivate strategic partnerships, spearhead impactful initiatives, and drive the company's visionary goals forward.

Sharing the Power Foundation was established as part of Volt Energy Utility’s Environmental Justice Power Purchase Agreement™ (EJPPA). I served as the strategy and development architect for the Foundation. After co-founding Sharing the Power Foundation, I was appointed as the Interim Executive Director to provide the Foundation's overall implementation and management.

I led the strategy and management of Volt Energy Utility’s environmental justice and community impact practice.Volt Energy Utility, an African-American owned utility-scale solar energy development firm, partners with corporate clients to drive energy decarbonization goals in a manner that promotes environmental health and justice.I managed programs associated with Volt’s Environmental Justice Power Purchase Agreement (EJ PPA) which assisted clean energy buyers to meet energy development goals and commitments to environmental, social, and governance standards.

I created healthy people and healthy environments by eliminating environmental threats to human health through public policy development.The National Caucus of Environmental Legislators (NCEL) serves as a resource to state and federal lawmakers working to protect, conserve, and improve the natural and human environment. As the Environmental Health Manager, I worked with legislators, grassroots coalitions, and other stakeholders to advance policy solutions around the topics of zero waste and circular economy, toxic chemical protections, and sustainable development and agriculture.

Maryland Philanthropy Network (MPN) maximizes the impact of giving on community life through a growing network of diverse, informed, and effective philanthropists. At MPN I cultivated opportunities for Maryland's philanthropic community to address critical issues and improve community conditions. I managed MPN’s Health Funders Affinity Group, Green Funders Affinity Group, Rising Leaders Roundtable, and Public Policy Board Committee by conducting seminars and creating opportunities for collaborative action and investment. As well, I supported nonprofit capacity building by managing a portfolio of MPN's fiscally hosted organizations, and by creating Grantseeker skills building workshops.

I promoted environmental health through political advocacy for MPN’s fiscally hosted project, the Maryland Environmental Health Network. I also developed, implemented, and promoted effective programmatic initiatives.

CommonHealth ACTION develops people and organizations to produce health through equitable policies, programs, and practices. I provided technical assistance for the development of health equity training programs that aim to promote health, across sectors, through policy and practice. I was initially brought on as a program intern, assisting with the development of the Kaiser Permanente Institute for Equitable Leadership. I then became a program consultant to assist with program management between CommonHealth ACTION and other national, regional, and state-based organizations.

I assessed the impacts of built environment inequities on health outcomes in West Baltimore.

I conducted a study investigating the influence of environmental health literacy on health promotion in Baltimore City. Through the study, I coordinated the “Teach Back” program - a community health educational forum about lead poisoning prevention - to generate comprehensive conversations among stakeholders.

I created a community health resources guide to assist Baltimore City residents find health resources in their proximity. Through this guide, I identified gaps in resource availability by zip-code. I also developed a curriculum surrounding lead poisoning prevention strategies for community education, along with additional education tools containing information about the influence of a healthy diet on reducing blood lead levels.

I implemented a study assessing the political ecology of waste in West Baltimore. This study was a subset of the larger National Science Foundation’s ecology study of America. I conducted an analysis of historical redlining, racial oppression, and community divestment in West Baltimore to determine root causes of inequities in pest and waste exposure.

I organized Maryland communities in support of environmental policies and conducted campaign canvassing to promote environmentally conscious state and local representatives. I also assisted in the development of the MDLCV environmental scorecard of elected officials for the upcoming legislative session.
