Studying within one of the UK’s leading universities on a breadth of subject matters, I conducted critical examination and in-depth research regarding ongoing projects in line with my Master’s degree on Global Operations and Supply Chain Management. These fields ranged from global supply chains to sustainability and ethical policies within business management and operations. Through the principles and theories I studied alongside the real-world models and data I analysed, I was able to directly engage with these areas and develop a nuanced, insightful perspective that informs my growing understanding of businesses and industries at large. It is my hope that I can continue to apply these findings and the acumen I’ve refined throughout my degree to drive future business development and growth.

Studying at an internationally renowned university, I began my first steps of professional development as a Business Graduate studying my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Exposed to a vast number of new ideas, approaches, and attitudes, I was able to quickly pace through literature and digest articles and essays while further speaking with specialist academics and professors to gain broader insight. Working with real-world companies, data, and models, I critically assessed and evaluated the business performance of these brands, identified subject matters that most interested me to then build additional research plans and models. It was during this degree that I became more engaged with the exploration and understanding of Global Supply Chains and international operations, something which I followed up in my postgraduate studies.

I served as an intern on a temporary, short-term basis, but the knowledge and insight I gained was valuable and helped shape the career I wished to pursue. As an intern, I was exposed to a broad array of business operations, though chiefly I was position within the Product Marketing department to assist with ad hoc tasks, perform administrative duties, and when possible, engage with bigger projects. I primarily helped with the collection and collation of vital customer information and sales data utilizing online tools and company software, compiling these datasets and delivering a report to senior team members for review and finalisation. I strove to learn as much as I could from the experience, directly involving myself within the drafting and completing of internal reports as well as working closely with the company’s customers, serving as a point of contact and representative of the business.
