I strategize, conceptualize, produce and direct creative works that are engaging, effective and cost-efficient. I work fluently in multiple cultures and languages, both as a team leader or a team player. I've worked with many national and prominent local brands and strongly believe in an enduser-centric approach, covering from the market-facing front end to the behind-the-scene back end. Originally from China, I speak Mandarin and Cantonese natively. I studied and worked in the UK for close to a decade before settling in Canada. Although I work in "traditional media", I strongly believe the smart use of technology will eventually enable genuine content makers to win hearts repeatedly. My other recognized strength lies in the interest and deep understanding of the Chinese Diaspora in the English-speaking markets as well as the Greater China Region. I will articulate complex cultural nuances & provide contextual insights to partners/clients and arm them with perspicacity and clarity to help them win.Additionally, I am actively helping to finance worthwhile film and other content projects. In addition to my latest original work producing the 'ground-breaking' critically acclaimed television series Blood & Water, a first in North American television history, I've helped finance and executive-produced a number of projects, including The Kindergarten Teacher, 52: The Loneliest Whale, Ms. Purple, The Recount: A Michael Bisping Story, Informer to name a few. I currently serve on three charity and non-profit boards: The Laurier Institution for Diversity and KCTS Board of Advisors (Seattle, Washington), and Pangaea Arts Society.
