Born and raised in Hong Kong, and living in Copenhagen since 2019, I am the founder and designer of Sheryl Yip Atelier, a bridal and fashion atelier that offers design, bespoke, and custom-made services in making high-quality wedding gowns and fashion attires for individual brides. My wedding gowns have been featured internationally including British VOGUE, Style Me Pretty, Wedding Sparrow, Denmark BryllupsMagasinet, and more. With over 12 years of experience in women’s ready-to-wear and bridal, oversaw sourcing, design, and managed sampling and production, my passion for fashion, design, and entrepreneurship started when I was young. After graduating my BA in Fashion and Textile Design (Dean's List), I studied fashion design at the Swedish School of Textiles and Haute Couture Design in Central St. Martins, London before designing for high-end fashion brands, celebrities, and influencers in Hong Kong.I have started my bespoke bridal journey and have been designing custom couture wedding gowns and attires for individual clients since 2014. During the season 2017 to 2020, I was the core bridal designer for a London bridal brand, Catherine Deane, where my designs have been dressed by hundreds of real brides around the globe including Denmark, the UK, Germany, and the US.In my vision, dressing yourself well-fitted to your personality and body figure is the strongest fashion statement. I love designing bespoke for brides because no women are the same. Customisation is one of the ways of self-expression. I believe this is a way to empower and highlight women’s femininity and confidence. Since Fall 2021, I have become the Fashion Columnist at “The Copenhagen Post”, the only English newspaper printed in Denmark. I was also blissful to take the opportunity as a guest speaker at IDCN business event to share my creative journey and entrepreneurship with more audiences.
