Supervised team of 6 to carry out finance and taxation functions for 4 PCCW subsidiaries, reporting to Group CFO in Hong Kong.Core responsibilities:- Championed strategic vision and planning process throughout business units.- Setting up IT, taxation and banking processes, and completing first-year audits to drive incorporation of business entities in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.-Coordinated documentation, tax, business operations, invoicing and UAT across multiple teams.-Managed special projects and backend processes across regional business entities- Nominee Director of 7 business entities in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.Significant Achievements:-Central role in company securing 5-year ACAP Premium status by conducting company-wide self-audit to demonstrate robust GST controls.-Led due diligence exercise for calculating second tranche payment for acquired subsidiary in the Philippines.- Oversaw transfer of assets and liabilities from existing subsidiary to newly-incorporated company in collaboration with Group legal, tax and company secretarial teams, novating 39 vendors and 315 customers. - Orchestrated liquidation of business entities / branch in Brunei, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia as part of Group restructuring.- Collaborated with sales team to support application for Facilities Based Operator (FBO) license, and revamped format of billing databases and invoices in compliance with regulatory requirements.- Cleared backlog of tax queries and annual tax returns for 2 Singapore business entities within 12 months, and identified unfiled tax objections. Obtained tax refund of SGD 450,000 and applied for waiver of shareholdings.-Promoted and transferred to PCCW Solutions to serve as senior local finance leader.
