Lightweight, privacy-preserving tools will be developed for real-time panoramic video streams, generating quantitative data on aspects such as road safety and comfort. Frameworks will be developed to aggregate this data at the road network level.

Research InternUcl Feb 2024 - Aug 2024In this role, I focused on design and implemented video neural compression framework for 360-degree videos. Specifically, I investigated how graph-based representation method like HEALPix can transform 2D projection to sphere for 360-degree videos and how the feature extraction can be performed on-the-sphere. The expected result will be presented by evaluating our model performance with other SOTA methods. -
