I successfully completed two projects in the Rhind Lab investigating cell size control in fission yeast working under the direct mentorship of Dr. Nick Rhind. Under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Rose, I am investigating the role of Kar4 in budding yeast meiosis. Specifically, I am interested in how Kar4 affects the ability of Ime1 to turn on early meiosis genes and initiate the meiotic pathway.
